Soundtrack

This well acted murder mystery with powerful sexual undertones is worth seeing. John Travolta may have re-emerged as one of the more powerful leading men, but here he proves again that he has the heart and versatility of a great character actor. His exchanges with James Woods playing a Colonel suspected in a murder is worth more than price of admission. Someone needs to put these crafty, gifted men in more scenes like these.

What To Look Forward To

The murder mystery delves into issues surrounding sexual dysfunction and rape in the military. Here, the brutality of the rape doesn’t horrify us as much as the cover up. Frankly, we could just not buy into the level of silence kept by many characters who knew what really happened.

The ending was anticlimactic and unsatisfying. The ultimate perpetrator turned out being a person with little real power of involvement with the victim, or the issues presented.
